Oracle Cloud Marketplace

Oracle Cloud Marketplace

One of the big news items from Open World in 2013 was the announcement of Cloud Marketplace. Available at https://cloud.oracle.com/marketplace this pretty much is in line with what any software marketplace will do.

Oracle Cloud Marketplace

The market place is not a Oracle product market place, but really for the cloud. You may notice the three clear divisions of Oracle Sales, Service and Marketing cloud. This is required not only because the functions are different, but also the technologies and possibly the way they integrate.

As of date Oracle Sales Cloud has around 90 apps, Marketing 50 and Service 2.

This is just the beginning and I am sure there will be lot of news, improvements and what not being introduced in that space, but it does mark the start of Oracle on the right path albeit 3-5 years too late.
